Defining Workplace Fatigue

“Fatigue is the state of feeling very tired, weary or
sleepy resulting from insufficient sleep, prolonged
mental or physical work, or extended periods of
stress or anxiety.”

Fatigue can be described as either acute (shortterm)
or chronic (long-term).
