Webinar Description: What is science communication, and why does it matter? As a rapidly expanding field, there are an overwhelming number of ways to communicate science to family, friends, and the public – although not all of these are well-known. It is especially important to communicate science effectively in the field of occupational health, safety, and wellness, as the results of this research directly impact workers’ everyday lives. This webinar explored a variety of new and exciting ways to communicate science, some tips that span across communication types, and the importance of science communication. Speaker Bio: Leah has an Honours Bachelor of Science in Biology from Algoma University, and is a student in the Master’s in Science Communication program at Laurentian University. She is currently working with CROSH developing community outreach materials.
