Graduate Student Project. During the initial waves of COVID-19, Ontario identified several sectors that were essential to the continued health and well-being of the province. These sectors employed essential workers who were in unfavourable circumstances while providing service to individuals in Ontario. This study explored the potential regional impact on occupational sectors, and how the rollout of COVID-19 vaccines factored into work stoppages and shortages. This study reviewed the current information and provide a summary of the findings to help guide further research in this area and provide policymakers with information about the impact of vaccine rollout on employers and employees in Ontario.
