Working at Height Simulation

The central focus of my research lies in the development of a framework aimed at evaluating and integrating Virtual Reality (VR) technology into conventional working at height training programs. Traditionally, such training has relied on in-class sessions employing audio-visual aids and instructor-led demonstrations. However, with the advent of VR technology, there arises a unique opportunity to enhance training efficacy by immersing trainees in virtual replicas of actual worksites.

Building upon the established effectiveness of VR in context-aware training scenarios, our study seeks to investigate the optimal method of integrating VR components into standard training protocols. To achieve this, we employ a crossover design experiment, a research methodology allowing for direct comparison between traditional and VR-enhanced training approaches. By leveraging this experimental setup, we aim to uncover insights into the efficacy and feasibility of VR integration within existing training frameworks.
