Cracking the Window and Changing the Air: Surprising CO2 Learnings in a Pandemic
Since treating the air we breathe remains the last pandemic protection available to individuals, a simple CO2 monitor has the capacity to increase a person’s confidence in the relative safety of entering a space occupied by other potentially infectious people. Air movement and air cleaning procedures are largely an invisible process, and the general public may not grasp how air exchange can be modified in a public space they are occupying. We were interested in providing a basic, CO2 monitor tool with a knowledge transfer approach to close the gap for people in the community to understand the basics of ventilation.
