CROSH Webinar: Quality of Work Life in Nursing
Nurses have been reported to be the sickest among all occupations across Canada. The sustainability of our Canadian healthcare system to meet the demands of healthcare and healing for clients in urban, rural, and remote hospital settings is dependent on nurses’ health and their quality of work life (QOWL). Dr. Horrigan’s research sought to understand how Northeastern Ontario Registered Nurses (RNs) in urban and rural and remote hospitals evaluated their QOWL, examined similarities and differences of RNs evaluation related to their geographic locations, and to identify what QOWL and practice environment factors were associated with nurses’ stress. Join Dr. Horrigan in this webinar session to hear of her findings from two phases of research across northeastern Ontario and learn more of her recommendations towards supporting holistic client healing and nurse healers. Presented by Dr. Judith Horrigan.
