PTSD Information Booklet
Category: Guidebooks
Anyone can be at risk for PTSD, and a great number of Ontarians face higher risks because of the nature of their work. Our booklet is written for individuals experiencing PTSD and for their family, friends, and other social support systems. It offers insight and understanding into the concept of PTSD, and it provides information about the stress experience, mechanisms of PTSD, treatment for PTSD, and other sources of intervention. The ultimate goal of the booklet is to open pathways for respectful and supportive communication, and facilitate access to treatment, if required. We encourage you to share the booklet widely. Written by Dr. Zsuzanna Kerekes and Dr. Sandra Dorman.
